• Most women will have a significant decrease or no bleeding after procedure
• Results vary, final results in 12 weeks

Risks

• The risks of this procedure are bleeding, infection, perforation and procedure failure to relieve bleeding

Day of Procedure

• Nothing to eat or drink 8 hours prior to procedure
• Have an adult over 18 to drive you home and be with you for 24 hours post procedure
• Wear loose comfortable clothing
• The procedure is less than 1 hour and performed in an outpatient setting

Post Procedure

• Patients can expect to have abdominal pain and cramping after the procedure
• You will be prescribed medication for cramping  
• You can expect bleeding and discharge for up to 12 weeks post op
• Nothing in the vagina for 2 weeks post procedure
• You will be able to return to regular activity within 4-7 days
• Call office for severe pain or heavy bleeding
